Sled Dog Dachshund was featured in a list of holiday and winter books from Bay Area Parent magazine. Most of the books were from Bay Area publishers and authors, including Laura Atkins, author of Sled Dog Dachshund.

“Berkeley author Laura Atkins tells a story about the power of teamwork and never giving up in her debut picture book,” wrote Janine Defao of Bay Area Parent. The magazine serves readers in the the East Bay, San Francisco and Penninsula as well as Silicon Valley areas.

Indeed, we at Minted Prose have heard that the teamwork aspect of the book is one of its greatest attributes and a valuable lesson for children.
