The Teacher’s Guide for A Dachshund’s Wish, which is available at no cost to educators on the Traitor Dachshund website, has been requested by over 3,000 educators since the publisher made it available in April.

“I was truly amazed and gratified by the response by the educational community,” said Linda Purpura, president of Traitor Dachshund, LLC. “We found them very open to new teaching materials and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them.”

The 24-page Teacher’s Guide for A Dachshund’s Wish includes ideas for classroom discussions, writing projects, and suggestions for art and math activities. Children will be especially charmed by the full-color worksheets available in the plan, which are illustrated with original watercolor drawings of Paws, taken straight from the book.

The Guide also introduces vocabulary words from the book. It even has suggestions on how to help children write their own book, by developing plot ideas and creating characters and settings. Experienced teachers were instrumental in the development of the Teacher’s Guide. These educators drew on their years of experience in the classroom to help produce a plan that works for both teachers and students.
